Earthquake Relief Support to Kunchowk VDC of Sindhupalchowk District

Sindhupalchowk district remained at the top affected district with approximately half of the human deaths toll recorded with 3562 deaths out of 8856 total deaths throughout Nepal. The earthquake disaster collapsed about 96 percent houses within the district. The national population statistics of 2011 revealed 66448 households in Sindhupalchowk district. According to the data provided by Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA), Government of Nepal, the earthquake collapsed 63885 houses within the district. help to help Nepal conducted the earthquake relief support programme in Kunchowk Village Development Committee (VDC) of Sindhupalchowk district. The relief support programme was organized to help the earthquake victims of Kunchowk VDC in Sindhupalchowk district. Two hundred households in wards 5, 6, and 8 of Kunchowk VDC were provided with relief materials-sitting mats, blankets, soaps, salt and cooking oil. Suryakiran Primay School in Kunchowk, ward-5, Thapagaon village was also provided with sitting mats as school walls incurred deep cracks prohibiting students to resume classes inside the classroom.
