Solid Wastage Management-Awareness Program

Chandra Foundation has organized program on awareness program in collaboration with Solid Waste Management Technical Support Centre to the locals of Nepaltar, Kathamandu. The program aims to make people aware about the raising and challenging series of wastage management. The program also focused to promote re-use, re-cycle, reduce (3R) processing of the waste. The program highlighted Solid Waste Management Act 2011 and Regulation 2013.

Board of Director argues all the local people to support the sanitation campaign. The program ended by distributing compost bin to the locals supported by SWMTSC. 

Earthquake Relief Support to Kunchowk VDC of Sindhupalchowk District

Sindhupalchowk district remained at the top affected district with approximately half of the human deaths toll recorded with 3562 deaths out of 8856 total deaths throughout Nepal. The earthquake disaster collapsed about 96 percent houses within the district. The national population statistics of 2011 revealed 66448 households in Sindhupalchowk district.
